Review M365 Recommendations

Use Recommendations to review Microsoft 365 account activity, recommended account actions, license waste, pending items, whitelisted accounts, and license utilization.

This workspace is available for Microsoft 365 tenants when the feature is enabled.

Open Recommendations

From the sidebar, go to Overview, then Recommendations.

Use the mode switch to choose:

• Accounts.
• Licenses.

Review Account Recommendations

1. Open Accounts mode.
2. Search by user name or email.
3. Filter by Actions, Status, User Type, or View.
4. Select an account to review the recommendation.

The account table can show:

• Email.
• Recommended action or pending state.
• Status.
• Waste per month.

The account detail panel can show the recommended action, reason, assigned licenses, department, job title, activity signals, groups, and Teams.

Run an Action

Available actions depend on the recommendation and the account.

Actions can include:

• Offboard.
• Delete.
• Mark Pending.
• Whitelist.
• Remove Whitelist.

Offboard opens the offboarding workflow for the selected user. Delete opens a confirmation modal before deletion.

Use Pending and Whitelist

Use Mark Pending when the action was handled outside ORVO but still needs to be tracked.

Use Whitelist when the account should be ignored by the recommendations workflow.

Use the View filter to switch between actionable, pending, and whitelisted accounts.

Review License Usage

Open Licenses mode to review Microsoft 365 SKU utilization.

Use Search to find licenses by name. Select a license to review assigned seats, purchased seats, available seats, utilization, and recommendation context.

Export or Refresh

Use Download to export the current account or license view. Use Refresh when you need the latest recommendation and license data from Microsoft 365.
