Restore Archived Data
Restore mailbox data, browse drive archives, export drive containers, and monitor archive jobs.
Use Archives when you need to recover mailbox data, inspect archived drive data, or export a drive container.
Open Archive Records
- Go to Archives, then Records.
- Search by identity, destination, or container.
- Filter by Operation, Channel, or Status when needed.
- Select a record to open its detail panel.
Archive tools only appear when archive storage is configured for both mailbox and drive data.
Restore a Mailbox
- Select an archived mailbox record.
- Choose Restore Mailbox.
- Select the active destination identity.
- Confirm the source mailbox and destination mailbox.
- Start the restore.
After the restore starts, go to Archives, then Running Jobs, to monitor progress.
Browse a Drive Archive
- Select an archived drive record.
- Choose Browse Drive.
- Use the file explorer to navigate folders and inspect files.
The file explorer can show file details and allow individual downloads.
Export a Drive Container
Use Export Drive when you need the full archived drive container.
ORVO queues the export and emails a download link when the export file is ready. The export action requires the signed-in user's email to be available.
Delete a Drive Container
The drive file explorer may allow Delete Container when that action is available for the record. Use this carefully and confirm the record before continuing.
Monitor Running Jobs
Go to Archives, then Running Jobs.
The jobs table can show:
- Email.
- Container.
- Date.
- Progress.
- Type.
- Cancel action.
Progress can appear as queued, indexing, or a percentage depending on job type.
