Manage Device Inventory

Add devices, import device CSV files, check devices in and out, enrich missing purchase data, and keep asset metadata clean.

Use Assets to manage device records, assignments, lifecycle information, purchase data, and asset metadata.

Open Inventory

From the sidebar, go to Assets, then Inventory.

Use Search to find devices by tag, serial, brand, model, or assigned identity. Use Status and Category filters to focus the list.

Add a Device

  1. Choose Add Device.
  2. Complete required fields.
  3. Add labels, category, location, brand, model, supplier, assigned user, purchase data, warranty data, asset tag, serial number, and notes as needed.
  4. Save the record.

The device form can create new metadata values, such as category, brand, model, supplier, or label, from inside the form when that option appears.

Import Devices

Use Import Devices to upload a CSV file.

Download the template first when possible. The import expects structured inventory fields such as status, category, location, manufacturer, model, serial number, asset tag, supplier, notes, assignment fields, purchase date, purchase cost, and warranty end date.

After upload, ORVO reports created records and row-level errors.

Export Devices

Use Export from Inventory to download an import-ready device CSV from current device data.

Check Out and Check In

Use Check Out to assign a ready-to-deploy device to an identity.

Use Check In to return a deployed device to inventory.

These actions keep inventory status and assigned user information current.

Enrich Purchase Data With AI

Use Enrich All when multiple devices are missing purchase dates or costs.

The enrichment workflow can:

  • Run background enrichment.
  • Check the job.
  • Load the latest saved report.
  • Search estimates by tag, serial, brand, model, or category.
  • Select visible estimates or individual estimates.
  • Apply selected date and cost suggestions.

Review confidence, target fields, and skipped devices before applying estimates.

Use AI Enrich from a single device editor when you only need suggestions for one device.

Configure Asset Metadata

Go to Assets, then Configure, to manage:

  • Categories.
  • Labels.
  • Locations.
  • Manufacturers.
  • Models.
  • Statuses.
  • Suppliers.

Keep these values consistent so filters, reports, imports, and device forms stay useful.
